Tapered Reed Valves

The ProRev Tapered Reed Valve is a special design different
from all other reed valves on the market. This patented valve is
designed to create power at lower RPM's, when vacuum
pressures are less, while progressively increasing the pressure
resistance at mid and upper RPM's. The result is a smoother,
broader powerband, and with increased over-rev. In testing,
this valve also lasted longer than other designs. While being
constructed from 100% aircraft quality carbon fiber, it is cured
with high temperature resins to eliminate warping and fractures
as the engine builds heat.
Testing has also shown that a textured surface lets the reed
react quicker, give better engine response. Our reed also has a
slight arc built into it to give a slight pre-load of tension around
the sealing edge.
